Step-Up to Writing trainings

Due to several requests for Step-Up to Writing trainings, we are offering grade level workshops here at the BOCES Center at Blue Bird Square, from 8:30 - 2:30 pm. Facilitated time will be available during the afternoon for teachers to integrate Step-Up strategies into their classroom procedures.

Please be advised that districts are responsible for the cost of all Step Up materials: approximately $120 per binder or $300 per classroom set.

BOCES Model Schools offerings for 2007
I hope that all of your school years are off to a good start! I wanted to give you all a heads up on a few things regarding COSER 517 Model Schools for Fall 2007.
FILM FESTIVAL: ( CLICK HERE FOR FLYER )
Last year, BOCES hosted a student film festival for students in three component school districts. This year, we’re encouraging districts who are interested in incorporating video technology into their curriculum to participate in the ROD SERLING film festival. It’s a statewide program for stuents k-12. Teachers who may be interested? Multimedia teachers, video production teachers, art teachers, content area teachers who are interested in student videos.

Many of you already have teams on board for this partnership with the CA Teacher Resource Center. We are still accepting applications for the waiting list. All of the 57 “first wave” of LCD projectors are allocated, but Tim Houseknect and I are keeping a waiting list in anticipation of a “second wave.”

We are holding several workshops supporting such Web 2.0 technologies as blogs, digital storytelling, and podcasting.
