ICS Teachers Find Thinkfinity Delicious!

Posted by cateach on December 5, 2008

Several Immaculate Conception teachers – Colleen Brown, Katie Van Haverbeke, and Carol Gardner – received Thinkfinity/Delicious training from me this fall, and great things have happened.  They’ve pretty much fallen in love with using their computers for instruction. They found great activities to use in class through Thinkfinity. Then they bookmarked them using the Delicious online bookmarking tool. Now they can easily share the activities with their students by simply logging on to their Delicious site, which they can categorize allowing easy access to the activities. If you’re not familiar with Thinkfinity and/or Delicious, let me know and I’d be happy to train a group or an individual. My email is catcdirector@yahoo.com. Once I know my final grant numbers for this year, I will hopefully be able to award some more Thinkfinity/Delicious minigrants.

Here’s a report from Colleen Brown at ICS:
I became familiar with the links that are offered by Thinkfinity. I learned to use the Delicious website. I was able to share the information with my students in an interactive way by using the computer, projector, and the Smartboard. The students loved the activities that the websites provided. I am using the skills that I acquired through this mini-grant almost every single day! The information that is now available to the class is endless. I can see how excited the kids are with the lessons and the use of technology in the classroom. I have really grown as a teacher through this grant.
